The Futurist NYC, Inc. (“Futurist NYC", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of those who entrust us with their Personal Information. This Privacy Policy applies to print, digital, live events, products, services, our websites, podcasts, and other online and mobile services, The Futurist NYC content, services and publications; live editorial events and podcasts we host; thefuturist.nyc, futureideasoftheyear.com, thefuture.nyc, jakandmac.com, and any other site or service that posts or links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services"). By using or visiting the Services or otherwise interacting with us, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically, as it may be updated from time-to-time.

 

What type of information do we collect, and how is it used and shared?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

The categories of Personal Information we collect include:

1. Information that you provide to us. This may include contact information such as name, address, email address, and phone number that you provide to us as part of your use of our services. This also may include correspondence with use relating to your use of our Services.

2. Registration data, such as information you provide when you register for any of our Services.

3. Marketing data, such as information related to your preferences for receiving communications, subscribing to our newsletters, and other content relating to our Services.

Please note that a third-party payment processor is responsible for all collection, processing, and storage of your Financial Information; at no time do we have direct access to or possession of any payment card information. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by its company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Futurist NYC may, subject to applicable laws, use Personal Information from users of our Services to contact them about our Services, including to provide them with information on additional products or services from Futurist NYC that may be of interest to them.
