In Toyota's Woven City, a future mobility lab-city planned for fall 2025, there will be "escort drones" (timecode 5:30) as well as autonomous race cars, wheelchair race cars ("because everybody should experience the joy of going fast"), Joby flying cars and robot companions for the elderly. Chairman Akio Toyoda also announced at CES 2025 that subsidiary, Woven, is exploring mass production of reusable rockets via its partnership with Interstellar Technologies: "The future of mobility shouldn't be limited to just Earth."
Skycall, an app that lets you order a personal guide drone, was prototyped by MIT Sensable Labs back in 2013.
